Kinder Cubs Program
Our Exclusive Kinder Cubs Program is made up of three kinds of classes: Cuddle Cubbies, Tiger Tots, and Kinder Cubs. Our Kinder Cubs classes are designed to meet and exceed state standards which includes any Common Core standards currently in place by the state of Arizona. These are educational classes that use gymnastics, martial arts, active play, music, athletic games and more as the methods of teaching.
Kinder Cubs Summer Camp goes beyond the weekly classes to prepare incoming Kindergarten students- incoming third grade students. Introducing Kindergarteners to the academic material that will be taught as well as the structure and social skills needed for Kindergarten. For students entering First, Second, or Third Grade, the summer program reviews material taught the previous year and introduces new concepts they will be learning in the coming year. This nature of this program allows us to meet the needs of both struggling students who would benefit from review as well as gifted students in need of an academic challenge.
Cuddle Cubbies (10-24 months)
This Class is a Mommy and me class designed for ages 10-24 months. This class is slightly different from our other Kinder Cubs classes in that it is half developmental for baby and half physical fitness for mom. The physical fitness portion consist of a work out using motions that promotes parent/child bonding.
The Developmental Goals for Baby include:
-
Cognitive Development
-
Sensory Development
-
Gross motor Skills Development
-
Fine Motor Skills Development
Tiger Tots (2-3 yrs)
Tiger Tots teaches preschool and kindergarten material through active play, games, martial arts, gymnastics, music and more. In addition to the educational benefits, the physical benefits include improved motor skills, flexibility, stamina, balance, coordination, and strength just to name a few. Parents have the option to participate in the physical activity for their own fitness as well. Important social skills like taking turns, facing people to speak to them, and peer interaction take place. For many parents one of the most wonderful benefits is the caregiver/child bonding that occurs as you explore the unique Tiger Tots style of active learning together. This class meets the duration of time of daily activity for children as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Research has shown that children who get involved in structured physical classes before the age of five have improved coordination, motor skills, logical thinking skills and problem solving ability.
